Chelsey Torgerson is an attorney based in Idaho with over 20 years of legal experience. Born and raised in Idaho, her adventurous spirit led her to a diverse and distinguished career in law, where she has developed a keen ability to provide customized, strategic legal solutions for her clients. Chelsey graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Idaho and began her career in finance as a licensed Series 7, 63, and 65 investment advisor in Seattle, Washington. Inspired to pursue her passion for law, she left the investment management sector to attend law school. Her legal career includes substantial practice in Washington and California, focusing on areas such as construction law, real estate, and complex litigation. Chelsey also lived in Switzerland where she served as General Counsel for a consulting firm and as a Vice President and Senior Compliance Officer at Credit Suisse, AG in Zurich. While with Credit Suisse, Chelsey investigated and enforced US tax compliance and led a team on global data privacy and regulatory risk matters. Returning to Idaho, Chelsey explored National Parks in 48 States and devoted 3 1/2 years to the community as a Kootenai County Criminal Prosecutor. She now predominantly specializes in preparing trust agreements, wills, powers of attorney, medical directives, and establishing closely held business structures. She is dedicated to crafting creative legal strategies, adeptly emphasizing careful planning and execution to avoid disputes while skillfully navigating any conflicts that may arise. She efficiently and effectively facilitates her clients transfer of assets to spouses, family members, charities, and other beneficiaries. In addition to her clients, Chelsey enjoys traveling, skiing, golf, off-road motorcycle riding, fly fishing, fabulous fashion, writing, reading and spending time with her husband, two dogs, and loved ones. |
